About the Home Inspector, John Marshall

John R. Marshall is a third generation builder and has worked in the construction trade for over twenty-three years building both commercial and residential structures. He also has worked on many historically significant residences and designated California State Historic Landmarks including the Caldecott Tunnel restoration, the California Maritime Academy and the Alameda Historic High School. His fine work and attention to detail has earned several awards.
While working days John earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Sonoma State University class of 1989. His course work included both Real Estate and Construction Management. Before starting his own inspection company, North Bay Inspection, John was trained and worked for one of the state's oldest most respected inspection firms, Star Inspection Group. John has earned the International Conference of Building Officials (I.C.B.O.) Building Inspector Certificate (# 5073014), the most recognized and valued credential in the building inspection industry and also is a contractor (# 646931). He strives to stay informed of the latest developments and inspection technologies by attending regular seminars with various professional organizations including The California Real Estate Inspector Association and American Society of Home Inspectors. John is a member of I.C.B.O., the National Remodelers Association and the Vallejo Chamber of Commerce.
John resides in Northern, California and is an active member in his community. He enjoys many outdoor activities including racing sailboats, riding motorcycles and "being dad" for his sons.
